The French art of sleep begins with the perfect fit. The right comforter size makes all the difference to your comfort. Here is how to choose yours:

  1. For a single bed (90 cm x 190 cm):
    A 140 cm x 200 cm comforter is generally recommended. It covers the sleeping surface beautifully, with a 30 cm drape on either side of the mattress. If you tend to move during the night, a 200 cm x 200 cm comforter may offer more generous coverage until morning.
  2. For a double bed (140 cm x 190 cm):
    A 200 cm x 200 cm comforter is a popular choice. With a 55 cm drape on either side, it lends your bed a beautifully generous look.
  3. For a European queen-size bed (160 cm x 200 cm): A 220 cm x 240 cm comforter is recommended. For a more enveloping feel, choose a slightly larger size: 240 cm x 260 cm.
  4. For a European king-size bed (180 cm x 200 cm): A 260 cm x 240 cm comforter is generally recommended for generous, comfortable coverage.

 

Comforter Sizes for Young Children

Around age 2, a child can move from a sleep sack to a small comforter suited to the size of their mattress. For a 60 x 120 cm bed, the most common mattress size for children under 3, an 80 x 120 cm comforter is generally preferred.
